Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #108

Today is the monthly Christmas card challenge at Dare to be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Design. We challenge you to use some of those scraps left over from last years holiday card making.

This card was super simple. I started out by coloring Frostina with Copics and Stickles and adding swirl bling. As is usual, I poppedthe image up with foam dots. The sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp. The papers are from my stash. The white snowflakes are made with a Fiskars punch. Thanks for stopping by.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #86

The challenge at Sentimental Sundays this week is "Die Cuts - No standard size shapes." My image and sentiment are from Bugaboo.

I colored the image w/ Copics. The chair was paper pieced and I added a brad to serve as the chair/footrest adjustment. The image is popped up with foam dots. The "can" was cut with the Cricut from the Father's Day Cart. The papers are from my stash. While it doesn't show up very well on the photo, I've used Glossy Accents on his eyeglasses and the bottle he's holding. As a final touch I added an actual pull tab from a Pepsi and a beer bottle sticker. I also added a Making Memories rim around the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop Sentimental Sundays to see what the rest of the design team has come up with.

Corrosive Challenge #141

The challenge is "I <3 U." That's right. Show us your hearts. This challenge is sponsored by KennyK. I used the image called "Sundaes." The image has a 1950's feel.

The image was colored w/Copics fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. The card measures 6 x 6 and features designer paper, a doily, hand rolled roses from Close To My Heart Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge, bling, a brad and ribbon. I added the glittery heart and Stickles to add some additional sparkle. Stop over to the Corrosive Challenge to see what the rest of the fabulous design team has come up with.

Sassy Bookmark

I've been on a bookmark kick. I started by cutting two 3" tags using the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge - one out of Kraft cardstock one out of the design paper. I took the design paper to my sewing machine and stitched around it leaving 1/8" border around.

I printed two of the Latte Lori images. On one I colored everything w/copics except the dress. On the other one I used an animal print stamp and stamped over the entire image.  I colored only the dress w/Copic markers. I trimmed the dress away from the second image and attached to the uncolored dress of the first image. I hope this was the correct way to do paper piecing.  The "cup stamp" image was from my stash. The sentiment is from My Creative Time and was stamped on the edge of a Nestabilities cut with an inked edge. The finishing touch was the bling from Recollections from Michael's and the Grosgrain ribbon. Thanks for stopping by.

You're Great

I purchased this image after winning my crafty internet buddy's, Regan of Charmed Stamping, birthday blog candy which included a$20 gift certificate from Tickled Pink Stamps. While I originally thought I would use this image for a birthday card, with this sentiment, I think it can be used for any number of occasions. The layout is based on the Mojo Monday sketch this week.

The face and hair are colored w/Copics while the outfit is colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and OMS. The paper and flowered ribbon are from my stash. The faux ribbon was cut with a paper trimmer and scissors and I added texture using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The circle and circle scallop are Nestabilities. Although I've had the scallop circle for quite some time, I think this is the first time I've used it. The sentiment was a freebie from TLC and the "stitched oval" is from My Creative Time. The peridot bling is from my stash and is one of my favorites. Could it be because I have an August birthday?? Thanks for looking.

Corrosive Challenge

I'm sure I haven't mentioned it but I am one of the newest members of the Corrosive Challenge DT. The challenge for the next two weeks is to use something new.

My "something new" is the Martha Stewart border punch, the  "No Matter What" paper, the die and stamp set from My Creative Time and the sentiment stamp. The background paper and the heart shaped bling were in my stash from last Valentine's Day. The image a retired image from Sassy Studio Designs. Thanks for looking.

Happy New Year

This is the card I should have posted for Sassy Studio Design, Dare To Be Sassy Thursday but I had a brain fart and didn't post it! The challenge was to design a shaped card. The champange bottle is actually a part of the card and if my memory serves me right is from the Cricut Wild Card cart. The year was cut with the Cricut as well.

The bottom of the bottle is acutally green colored foil paper. The image is colored w/Copics and poped up with foam tape. I think the back feather behind the image was just the right touch.  Because I used so much glittery paper, DCWV Alphabet stack, I decided to cover the "disco ball" with Glass accents. The sentiment is from my stash and was stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and cut with the Cuttlebug using a Spellbinders Nestabilities. Thanks for stopping by.

Sentimental Sundays Blog Hop 01/01/2012

Welcome to the Sentimental Sundays “Anything Goes” New Year's blog hop. Sunday, January 1st, brings the launch of the new Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog and we are all excited to start things off with a fun and prize loaded Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here from Bente's blog. If you didn't arrive from her blog and would like to join in the hop, please start at the Sentimental Sundays challenge blog.

When I started this card I didn't use a sketch but knew I wanted to only use the colors pink, green and white. The image was colored with Copics and the candle flames were highlighted with Stickles. The card base is pink and measures 5 x 7. The pink pin-dot paper is from the Paper Studio and all the others were just various papers from my stash. The edge punch is from EK Success and would you believe I picked it up at a local thrift store for $1?? The sentiment is from Just Rite stamps, stamped with Close To My Heart ink,  cut and embossed with the round Spellbinders Nestabilities. Lastly the peridot-colored bling really brought this card to life!

We hope you will join in our “Anything Goes” (plus a sentiment) challenge this week. Our sponsors include: Whimsy Stamps, Meljen's Designs, Pink Cat Studio and Digital Delights by Louby Lou. Some of our design team members will also be offering prizes on their blogs so be sure to visit each stop along the way and enter your comments.

Your next stop on the hop is Amy's blog. If you should happen to get lost along the way, you can find the blog hop list over at the Sentimental Sundays challenge blog. The hop ends on Saturday, January 7th at midnight EST. The winners will be announced on the Sentimental Sundays challenge blog on Sunday, January 8th . So, hop on over to the next stop and good luck!

Thank you so much for stopping by.
