Two-sided Bookmark

I was in a crafty mood today but wanted to make something other than a card. I settled on a two-sided bookmark.  I used a Die-namics "Vertical Label" die as the bookmark shape. I added a Bugaboo image which I colored with Copic Markers. Although it doesn't show up in the pictures, I outlined the "wrought-iron" chair and table base with iridescent Ranger embossing powder. I added tiny bling to the fruit on the drink and the purse closure. I also highlighted her cheeks and lips with a white Gelly Roll pen. I added some additional bling and the sentiment from a different Bugaboo image and  highlighted with faux stitching. I like adding faux stitching to projects because it can be added afterwards and because it's another way to added dimension to projects. I think the organza ribbon added some additional sparkle.

For the reverse side I used die cuts from Frantic Stamper "Wine and Bottle" and "Coved Labels." I too used another Die-namics die on this side in the Kraft cardstock "camera." The wine an bottle were cut out of silver foil paper while the sentiment was again highlighted with faux stitching. The paper is Bo Bunny from Fantic Stamper and is two sided. On this side you see both sides together.

Not a Card

I wanted to try out my new Anna Griffin embossing folders that were recently sold on HSN. Both the folders and dies are very detailed. I used the Cricut and the Close To My Heart "Art Philosphy" cartridge to cut the cutegift box. The paper and pears have been in my stash forever. Finally I added the double bow using JoAnn's fabric "Spool 'O Ribbon."

I used a different embossing folder for each side. My trusty hot glue gun came in really handy for glueing on the pearls.
